Aluminium Powder

  • Keep drums tightly closed.
  • Keep drums in cool and dry place.
  • Keep aluminium powder away from chemicals, combustible materials, inflammable liquids, heat and spark producing devices.
  • Use clean Non-ferrous non sparkling metal scoops.
  • Avoid cloud formation of dust.
  • Incase of fire, never use water.
  • Apply fine dry sand to arrest small fire.

Aluminium Paste

  • Keep drums in cool, dry place.
  • Keep drums with air-tight lids. Partly used material will oxidise if not sealed properly.
  • Use clean scoops and containers.
  • Use good medium with low acidity.
  • Keep aluminium paste away from chemicals, combustible materials, inflammable liquids, heat and spark producing devices.
  • Use clean Non-ferrous non sparkling metal scoops.
  • Avoid cloud formation of dust.
  • Incase of fire, do not use water or fire extinguisher.
  • Apply fine dry sand to arrest small fire.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, rainwater, and excessive dampness. Store indoors in sealed containers, at not more than 40°C and preferably at 15°C–25°C.
  • In the event that bulging occurs in any container during storage due to abnormal internal pressure, before opening the container slowly relieve the internal pressure by opening the vent screw in the container lid if present or by gradually opening the lid clamp while applying downward force on the lid to hold it in place and prevent its violent release. Special caution is necessary in such cases to ensure that the working area is well ventilated and completely free of any ignition sources, because of a high probability of hydrogen gas being present in the container.
  • If separation of the solvent and aluminium flakes occurs as an effect of vibration during transport or certain storage conditions, thoroughly mix to obtain a uniform dispersion before use. Such separation generally does not involve any problem in the quality or performance.
